SENTAN Pharma is a “hybrid” drug discovery venture that combines the two features of “pipeline type” and “platform type,” which have been the key business models of bio-ventures.

Utilizing our unique nano-micro formulation technology, we will add new functions to compounds the development of which has been abandoned by pharmaceutical companies and to drugs that have expired patents, and “remake” these for global distribution as new drugs, if feasible.

We also have a pipeline of nano- and micro-formulations targeting various diseases.

 

Our nanoparticles and microparticles can be used as bioabsorbable polymers. In particular, “PLGA,” which is commonly used, is a copolymer of lactic acid and glycolic acid, and is a safe and secure polymer that is absorbed in the body and then, finally metabolized as water and carbon dioxide.

It has been confirmed that PLGA nanoparticles taken into the body enter cells and undergo hydrolysis to slowly release the encapsulated drug.
